Huddles are groups of three to six people that meet for ten to twelves weeks of training. Our Huddles run from September to November and from February to April. See more about our Training Huddles below and let us know if you would like to join one.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1) The Bible reveals an incredible true story ofGod's great love for his people and the hope we have through Jesus. As Christians we are called to a life of communion and faithfulness to the One who created us. But, in order to do this well we must know how to listen to God through the Bible. Engaging with Scripture is often neglected for understandable reasons: developing Biblical literacy takes time and effort, and the Bible can be an intimidating book. In this Training Huddle we will study the book of Galatians and put into practice bible study method skills that will help you approach the Bible with renewed confidence and joy.
Led by Elissa Stanton - Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 PM
Our emotional health forms a ceiling for our spiritual maturity. When we fail to take our emotional health into account in our spiritual lives, we end up stuck and frustrated. Jesus was the most emotionally healthy person to have ever lived. To become like him we must abide in him. In this huddle, we will use Pete Scazerro's acclaimed book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality as a guide as we learn skills and practices for emotionally integrated spiritual formation.
Led by Jake and Krista Box - Sunday nights
Led by Matt Tolander - Tuesday Nights
"Jesus said, 'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.'" (John 20:21) In this 12-week Training Huddle you will be equipped to live out that calling for the benefit of our city. Jesus died for the people in Austin. However, more than 75% of them do not believe that. If you want the people you know and love to know the God that loves them, then this Training Huddle is for you.
Led by Rob Walton - Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 AM
Led by Shelby Strong - Thursdays, 7:45-9:00 PM
Dallas Willard famously said, "Discipleship is the process of becomingwho Jesus would be if he were you." In this ten-week Training Huddle,we aim to help you discover God's calling for your life, which is shapedby how he made you, how he gifted you, and the passions he hasplaced within you. Calling, we believe, is best discovered in community,so this Training Huddle will be very interactive, allowing participants toshare about themselves and speak into each other's lives.
Led by Alice Kolence - Mondays, 6:30-8:00 PM
Led by Justin Christopher - Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 AM
Jesus did not come only for the people of Israel, but for all peoples. He then called us to go make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). In this ten-week Training Huddle, we are inviting everyday people to rethink God’s mission, the call of the church, and their individual roles. If you have Jesus' heart for the nations, or you want His heart for the nations, then this huddle is for you.
