College Small Groups
At Midtown Church, we long to grow in our relationship with God in the context of community. We believe this best happens as we are Godward, Inward, and Outward.
- Godward — We strive to glorify God and enjoy Him in everything we do.
- Inward — We believe it is vital that we invest deeply in each other and encourage each other to fully trust in Jesus.
- Outward — We are committed to actively, intentionally, and consistently engaging people with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ.
For Midtown College, the majority of our small groups are on Wednesday nights in the Texas Union. We meet at 8pm for 30 – 45 minutes as one large group for worship, games, and a short talk before breaking up into small groups. This semester we are reading through Acts, Nehemiah, and Proverbs. If you are interested in joining a small group, come any Wednesday or email Brad at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We believe that Jesus clearly gave the mandate in Matthew 28:18-20 to “make disciples of all nations.” At Mditown, one place we are committed to pursuing this commission is on the University of Texas Campus. We seek to provide all of our students the opportunity to both be discipled and engage in disciple-making which includes a specific focus in evangelism training. We believe that a multiplying movement of disciples is the most effective way to reach the ends of the earth with gospel, and we seek to labor with the strength of Christ to that end.
